My name is Alejandro (Alex) Laguna, and I am currently a third-year student (Class of 2029). When I started university, I struggled a lot with the projects from the Mathematics module, while I saw my classmates struggle with completely different ones.
While our university strongly advocates for a “help yourself out” mentality. Insisting you should research everything on the internet and providing almost no aid. I slightly disagree with that premise. I do believe that struggle is the step to learning and knowledge, however, dropping you into a project without pointing you into the correct information—and then not being able to help you out—is not education.
As a second-year student and later as a Teaching Assistant, I saw results and levels from both my classmates and my own students that I did not like. The level was frankly inadequate and subpar, simply because people were passing projects without actually understanding anything.
Thus, I have tried my best to write what I know in these guides, without building the project for you. I have compiled the core concepts and provided some other resources—mostly the ones I learnt from.
